Indian Culture and tradition

India has been home to an array of civilizations, languages, traditions and religions. Hence, it is quite a task to define the 'Indian culture', for the Indian culture has evolved over time to develop into a culmination of several traditions, ideas, languages, festivals and beliefs.
Right from the primitive civilizations like the Indus valley civilization, to the Aryans, the Huns, the Turks, The Persians, the Afghans and the British have invaded India and flourished here making her a land of diversity - regional, religious and linguistic. This diversity has continually contributed to the Indian one of the richest and most diverse and multifarious cultures of the world. Moreover, the fact that India is the origin of four major religions of the world and that she is , even today, home to a large population of Muslims, Christians, and Jews is testimony to the conclusion that the Indian culture is a culture that has constantly undergone revolution and has always welcomed change.
However, there also prevail certain evils claiming to be part of the Indian culture, thus, threatening to tarnish it's image. It needs to be understood that no culture ever promotes sinister tradition. Any such practice is a misinterpretation by man, that has to be put away. The Indian culture shows not a trace of conservativeness. On the contrary, history is witness to the statement, that it is quite liberal. Upholding true honor and beauty of our culture, it is the responsibility of us Indians to defeat all the obstacles that stand in the path of its development and fame.

Hope

Hope blesses the eager drops of the river
With the boon that they'll meet the sea
And motivates the caged bird to live
So that one day he'll be free.

Hope gets the empty, naked Tree
To stand the cold winds of winter
Hope gets the Sun to set at night
So He could rise again even brighter.

Hope steers the soul of the impoverished man
From childhood through youth to the waning age
Hope inspires the most troubled of poets
To start anew on a brand new page.

With Hope the salmon fights the river
To see her young ones grow
While teaching us all along
To never let Hope run low.

My heart beats for Mumbai

Mumbai is a land apart a destination like no other, mysterious, colorful, exotic and always memorable. Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and is one of the cosmopolitan cities. With special cuisine of vada pav available on almost every street of Mumbai, it is a big package of culture and legend that never fails to captivate the imagination of the visitor.
Called the city of dreams, Mumbai rates in one of the highest populated city and migrations in the country. Mumbai is a land of fascination! Millions of tourists from all around the world find contentment in on the dazzling long Queen's necklace at Marine Drive, Juhu Beach and Hanging Gardens. Blessed with one of the most believed Lords -Ganpati at Siddhivinayak, this place will also give you a sense of peace and religious fervor. A trip to the sightseeing of Mumbai will never be complete without a look at Jalsa, Mannat and other houses which adorn the names of celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
It is said that Mumbai never sleeps, true, even at 3 in the morning you'll see highways teeming with cars.
However, Mumbai, presents a vivid kaleidoscope of landscapes, historical sites and cuisines and the glamorous Bollywood. Mumbai; always warm and inviting is a place of infinite variety- in a true sense, Mumbai is a city of dreams and I being a true Mumbaikar.

∞ INFINITE ∞

Short and sweet, yet long and beat
Incandescent yet evanescent
This my friends, is THE paradox
that has wise ones grappling with their locks

Every night, we sit and yawn
at what may be, the price of dawn.
We think only, of our lives finite
but reconsider, is it right?

Time gleefully passes
as the benefits we reap,
But remember this, O friend!
The greedy will always weep.

The abundant infinity
may one bemuse,
Yet the infinitesimal time we have
won't ever cease to amuse.

Better live NOT knowing
which moment be your last.
ALIVE to the infinite mystery of it all,
you might enjoy LIFE at last!

Computers have replaced Man

View
Computer are a boon to mankind. They do all the hard work while we lounge in the sunshine. They calculate answers in seconds which takes us minutes or hours even. Through computers, we can send e-mails, pictures, etc instantly. You don't have to wait for days for a message to reach it's destination. We can talk with our relatives who live far away through computers. We can video call them. The can actually be present at a function without travelling thousands of miles. Computerization has saved so much paper ! Documents don't necessarily have to be on a hard copy. Information of Ten thousands of paper can be stored on a single Pen drive. Information on any subject can be obtained with the click of a mouse. It is the wish-fulfilling tree of knowledge.
Counter-view
Computers have many disadvantages. There is unemployment because of computers. There is no need of a post man since e-mail was invented. Post men have lost their jobs which was a source of income for the whole family. Information stored on the computer can be destroyed with a single virus. Moreover, it can be hacked by strangers and used. What is the use of learning Mathematics if you are going to use a calculator...? What is the use of teachers if you can get the same information off the Internet ?
